I've been super busy as bull sales have been heating up! Kinda feel like I went MIA. But I will return full force as soon as possible! Hope Lent is going well for all of you out there! I just love how in Lent, God reminds me of how much he has held me along the way.
TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) happened last weekend, and Miranda and I were asked to give a talk at the hoot (TEC thing). We turned it down because we were going to be gone that weekend. Well the day of the talk I decided to turn out of the rodeo we were going to go to. Not 10 minutes later I got a text that said they still couldn't find someone to give the talk and asked if we could do it. I guess God got his way!
So in this talk Miranda and I spoke about some little mini conversions we had where we had to surrender our worries over to the Lord. It was a great reminder of our weakness! Next Faith on the Road visited Lemmon's Life Teen/Edge group that following Wednesday night. There the team asked Miranda and I to give a 5 min testimony for Pastoral Ministry Days. Again we were winging it. So I sat down and spoke to a time I was discipled by another person. Someone who encouraged me to follow Christ closer. Miranda then was sat down and did the same. What an AWESOME reminder it was of where I had been and where GOD has brought me.
I encourage you to sit in some silence and reflect on a time when you decided to walk closer to Christ. Think of all that you have left behind, all that Christ has given you, and then Thank Him for it all! Lent is a time of penance and fasting but don't get to hard on yourself when you fall, because even if you feel like you're not getting anywhere you can look back and see how far Christ has carried you.
Peace y'all
